Alliance Executive Vice President, Quality and Total Customer Satisfaction
Christian Vandenhende is Alliance Executive Vice President, Quality and Total Customer Satisfaction (Q & TCS). In this role, his team will develop a common Quality Strategy, recommending measures to harmonize the processes for quality assurance in projects developed by Alliance Engineering. His team aims to improve Overall Opinion (OaO) in all markets and secure customer satisfaction in Products and Services, while working to mitigate risks and reduce non-quality costs through common KPIs, processes, methods, standards, tools and audits.
Mr. Vandenhende joined Groupe Renault as head of the Supplier Performance Analysis department in 1999, and was appointed Product Cost Analysis Director in 2003. In 2008, he joined the Renault-Nissan Purchasing Organization as Vice President in charge of Chassis Parts. In 2009, Mr. Vandenhende was named Senior Vice President of Purchasing, Chairman and Managing Director of the Renault-Nissan Purchasing Organization. In 2014, he was appointed Alliance Executive Vice President, Purchasing. One year later, he was named Alliance Executive Vice President, Quality and TCS of Groupe Renault and serves on the Executive Committee.
Mr. Vandenhende began his career in research at the University of Louvain, and in 1985 joined Saint Gobain. In 1989, he joined Valeo as a product/process engineer, holding positions of increasing responsibility in Purchasing before being named Purchasing Director of the Clutch Division in Amiens in 1996.
Mr. Vandenhende holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the University of Louvain-la-Neuve.
A Belgium native, Mr. Vandenhende is based in Yokohama, Japan.
