Alliance Executive Vice President, Engineering
Tsuyoshi Yamaguchi serves as Alliance Executive Vice President, Engineering. In this role, he is responsible for all engineering activities, including product development. His function ensures competitive delivery of technologies and capability transformation, with common decision-making that avoids duplication and divergence.
Mr. Yamaguchi joined Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., in April 1984 working in various areas of vehicle engineering. In 2004, he was promoted to President of Nissan Technical Center North America in Farmington Hills, Michigan. In 2008, Mr. Yamaguchi was appointed Corporate Vice President of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., in charge of several vital engineering divisions including Product Development for the Nissan brand and R&D Engineering Management. In 2011, he was appointed Corporate Vice President in charge of Infiniti Product Development. In 2012, he was appointed Alliance Director in charge of common platforms and parts. He was then appointed Alliance Executive Vice President for Alliance Technology Development in April 2014.
Mr. Yamaguchi holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a master’s degree in Engineering from Kyoto University.
A native of Japan, Mr. Yamaguchi is based in Boulogne-Billancourt, France.
